Drama

Ikkis is a Hindi biographical war drama directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced under Maddock Films. Rather than treating its real life subject simply as a larger than life hero, the film builds its story around Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was only 21 when he served during the 1971 India Pakistan war. Agastya Nanda plays Arun, while Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat carry an important later chapter of the story. Maddock Films describes the film as a biographical war drama based on the life of the Param Vir Chakra recipient. Released in India on January 1, 2026, the film was directed by Sriram Raghavan, whose previous work is better known for thrillers. Here, his approach is notably more reflective. Contemporary reviews highlighted the film's attention to courage, grief, family and the lasting human consequences of conflict rather than treating history only as spectacle.
