Description

The Protector is a 2025 American post apocalyptic action and science fiction film written and directed by Raul Gasteazoro. The film stars Marguerite Moreau, Graham Greene, Aryeh Or Katz, Jade Tailor, Christopher Redman, and Matthew Fahey. It imagines an American West devastated by drought, famine and conflicts over an increasingly scarce resource: fresh water.

At the centre of the story is Key, played by Marguerite Moreau. Facing a prison sentence and trapped in a dangerous world, she is given a chance at freedom that requires reaching one of the region’s last freshwater aquifers. The problem is that the water lies beneath Native American reservation land protected by a hazardous minefield.
