Story Summary
Hutch Mansell has returned to a life where his dangerous work continues to interfere with his responsibilities as a husband and father. Realizing that his family needs time together, Hutch plans a vacation to Plummerville, a town he remembers from his childhood.
At first, the trip seems like an opportunity to rebuild family relationships and leave work behind for a while. Hutch’s tendency to become involved when he sees trouble quickly creates another conflict. A local incident puts him in the path of people controlling much of the town. Sheriff Abel becomes part of the escalating situation, while Wyatt Martin has his own influence over the area’s tourist attractions.
