Logline: Hutch Mansell tries to be the world’s most boring vacation dad at a fading small town theme park. A skimming park operator, a bought and paid for sheriff and a polished crime boss turn the midway into a war zone and Hutch turns the park into his toolbox.

Story (spoiler light)

The trip is meant to be low drama: games, sunburns, early bedtimes. Then Hutch defuses a rough shakedown behind the fun house and the local machine notices him. The operator launders cash through ticket booths, the sheriff rents out protection and a suit upstairs balances the books with bodies. With his family a wrong turn from danger, Hutch slides back into old reflexes rerouting gates, bottlenecking goons in concession corridors and weaponizing whatever’s at hand: bumper car plates as shields, ride chains as restraints, tool shed hardware for grim punchlines. Every improvisation buys seconds, not safety and the man he swore off being keeps leaking through.
