Ballerina expands the John Wick world through a new central character rather than simply following John again. Eve Macarro loses her father when she is young and is eventually taken into the Ruska Roma, the same organization connected to John Wick's past. Under its demanding training system, Eve develops the discipline and abilities needed to survive in the criminal world surrounding the High Table.
The Protector
The world of The Protector has been transformed by environmental disaster. Water wars, famine, and drought have made ordinary resources extraordinarily valuable. Children have also become increasingly rare, adding another layer of uncertainty to the future.
Key is trying to escape both a prison sentence and the violent people controlling her life. Her path toward freedom requires gaining access to the last major source of freshwater in the region.
Description
The Protector is a 2025 American post apocalyptic action and science fiction film written and directed by Raul Gasteazoro. The film stars Marguerite Moreau, Graham Greene, Aryeh Or Katz, Jade Tailor, Christopher Redman, and Matthew Fahey. It imagines an American West devastated by drought, famine and conflicts over an increasingly scarce resource: fresh water.
At the centre of the story is Key, played by Marguerite Moreau. Facing a prison sentence and trapped in a dangerous world, she is given a chance at freedom that requires reaching one of the region’s last freshwater aquifers. The problem is that the water lies beneath Native American reservation land protected by a hazardous minefield. The film received a limited U.S. theatrical release on May 23, 2025, the same date it became available digitally.

Movie Story
The Protector uses a relatively simple survival premise to build a larger story about environmental scarcity, responsibility, and redemption. Marguerite Moreau leads the film as Key, with Graham Greene and Aryeh-Or Katz playing important roles in a story where access to freshwater has become a matter of survival. Writer director Raul Gasteazoro gives the movie the visual language of a post apocalyptic Western while making environmental collapse central to the conflict.
With its 102-minute runtime, May 2025 release, and combination of action and science fiction, The Protector offers a compact dystopian story built around the question of what is still worth protecting when society’s most basic resources begin disappearing.

The Odyssey
The Odyssey is Christopher Nolan’s large-scale 2026 adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic, with Matt Damon leading the film as Odysseus, the King of Ithaca. Released in theaters on July 17, 2026, the movie turns the famous homecoming story into an action drama built around war, family, loyalty, temptation, survival and the long consequences of one man’s choices. The official movie site confirms the July 17 release and the film’s use of IMAX cameras.
Rather than treating Greek mythology as a distant schoolbook subject, Nolan presents Odysseus as a complicated leader trying to return to the family and kingdom he left behind. Around him is one of the largest casts assembled for a Nolan production, including Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Himesh Patel, John Leguizamo, Samantha Morton and Benny Safdie.
For viewers interested in large-scale films, historical stories and serious action dramas, The Odyssey sits naturally beside titles in Tinyzone’s movie collection, while its battles and survival elements also connect it with the site’s action movies.
